006 - Hostels, Hotels, and Homestays

Jul 14, 2020 S01 E06 00:28:52

Hey friends, it’s me, Kayla and welcome to Episode 6 of Kayla on the Road: the podcast. Have you ever wondered what the difference between a hostel and hotel was? Have you ever considered a homestay? More of the AirBnB type? This week I’m sharing some advice and recommendations when it comes to accommodations abroad. Like always, this is my experience. Obviously if I had more money to spend on lodging I would be bunking up in a tree house overlooking the jungle or a villa on a white sandy beach with my own private pool but that is not the case. Where I lay my head at night usually isn’t the most important thing to me but without a plan and solid communication with your accommodations you could end up wandering the streets begging for a room when you do not have the mental capacity to organize your thoughts, let alone a new bed.
